Frequently Asked QuestionsWhere are you from?
I'm UK based.
Did you go to school for art?
Yup. I have a BA in Art, post-grad teaching qualification, and an MA in Education.
How long have you been doing this?
Making Art? Since I was small. Formally - I had to take what turned into over a decade break from having any sort of personal art practice - welcome to teaching! - before I went back to uni as an olds, and did the MA part time. The Artist Teacher Scheme is transformative, and i'd encourage every art teacher to do it if they can.
No, streaming.
Oh - August 2020. I discovered Twitch, or more specifically Bob Ross streams, in 2016.
Who's your favourite artist?
I don't have one in particular. There are many artists and makers working across a wide spectrum of traditions and techniques that inspire.
Do you have one media you like to work in most?
Nope - I use whatever seems to make sense to me in terms of aligning material with meaning. I will spend a lot of time researching and experimenting with new media, tools, techniques I need that fit the bill.
What's your work about?
The nuclear stuff? I'm looking to understand but also educate, so when I show my work I always include interpretation to help provide some context for viewers, or to critique the systems or agencies involved.
With my in-game photography-inspired work, i'm really interested in glitches, broken spaces, and things that don't belong in the increasingly immersive worlds game designers work so hard to create. Can I see finished pieces somewhere/buy your work?
Sure! Head here
Your work: why have a website that leads to another website?
I'm keeping things professional in terms of the identities I inhabit. The joys of being online.
